We only collect what your chart and reading need
This policy covers the Destiny Book website and the Destiny Book iOS app. No account is required, and we do not collect your phone number or email. Last updated: 15 July 2026.
Data Collected
Required: birth year, month, day, hour, minute, and gender (gender is used only to determine Da Yun direction). Optional, entered by you: a profile label for each chart (you may leave it blank), and the question you type when using Decision Guidance. Generated automatically: on first launch the app creates a random anonymous device identifier (UUID), used only for abuse prevention, rate limiting, and binding in-app purchases. It contains no personal information and is never used for cross-app tracking. We do not collect accounts, phone numbers, emails, location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers.
Purpose
This data is used only to compute and display your chart, generate AI readings, verify in-app purchases, and prevent abuse. It is never publicly displayed, never sold to third parties, and never used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Retention
On your device: chart archives and generated reports are stored only on your device and are removed when you delete the app. On our server: no login, no user profiles, and no long-term storage of reading text. To stop a single purchase being redeemed twice, the server keeps one verification record — containing the device identifier, birth details, reading category, and the question you typed in Decision Guidance — which is deleted automatically after 3 days. Our hosting platform may retain minimal execution logs for debugging and reliability.
Third-party Services
AI readings: to generate a reading, we send the chart our on-device engine derived, the profile label you entered, and the question you typed in Decision Guidance to a third-party AI service (DeepSeek). If you would rather this content never left your device, do not enter a real name and do not include sensitive details in your question — the profile label can be left blank. Payments: in-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details; our server only asks Apple whether a purchase receipt is valid.
Deletion and Contact
Deleting the app removes every chart archive and report stored locally. The server's replay-protection record expires and is deleted automatically after 3 days. There is no account system, so no long-term user records exist to look up. To request log deletion or raise any privacy question, contact wangjingyucupl@gmail.com.
