Free BaZi Calculator — Your Four Pillars Chart Online
A BaZi calculator turns your birth date and time into your Four Pillars chart — the eight characters that classical Chinese astrology reads. Ours computes the chart from a rule engine first, then explains it in plain language, so you can see both the result and the reasoning.
How to use the calculator
Enter your birth date, your birth time, and your gender. The more precise your birth hour, the more accurate the Hour Pillar and Luck Cycle.
Submit and you'll get an instant chart snapshot — no account, no email required. The free preview is enough to read your core structure.
What you get for free
The free preview returns your four pillars, your Day Master, the Ten Gods present in your chart, and an evidence summary of how those judgments were reached.
It also includes short, agent-analysed segments on personality and current rhythm — a grounded starting point rather than a generic paragraph.
How the chart is computed
The calculator follows classical Ziping (子平) BaZi rules. It converts your solar birth date into the correct stems and branches, identifies your Day Master, and derives the Ten Gods, Pattern, and Useful God.
Crucially, the rule engine decides the BaZi conclusions — not the AI. The AI only takes that computed basis and organises it into a readable report, with the evidence preserved.
Why birth time matters
Your birth hour sets the Hour Pillar and influences how your Luck Cycles are timed. A wrong hour can shift one of the eight characters and change the reading.
If you're unsure of the exact minute, use your closest known time. If you were born near the boundary between two two-hour periods, run both and compare which chart resonates.
Frequently asked questions
Is the BaZi calculator really free?
Yes. Computing your chart and the preview snapshot costs nothing and needs no sign-up. Only the optional deep report is paid.
What if I don't know my exact birth time?
Start with your closest known hour. The year, month, and day pillars stay correct regardless; only the Hour Pillar depends on the time, so an approximate hour still gives a useful reading.
How accurate is the calculation?
The pillars are derived from fixed calendar rules, so the chart itself is deterministic. Accuracy depends mostly on the precision of the birth time you enter.
